::Amaterasu:: Contest Entry

Amaterasu, goddess of the sun in Japanese mythology, was a beautiful and compassionate goddess who ruled both the sun and the heavenly fields of rice that fed the Japanese people. Amaterasu was the daughter of the supreme Japanese diety who, in Japanese mythology, had created the world. I gave her a spirit animal called Seika,meaning sacred fire, this peacock is beautiful and gentle but its hidden fire is what makes it remarkable. Its feather fell from the heavens creating a fire which never cease to burn. This fire came to man and man gain knowledge of how to create, control and manipulate this fire, but the original flame’s location is unknown.
